Junior High/High School Students
1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon
At least 1 meeting/month is a General Meeting.
(In the fall, 1 meeting/ month is Mock Trial related; in the spring, 1 meeting/month is Youth Legislature related.)
Cost: $20/family/semester

We plan to have an Open House for the Government Club in August -- Wednesday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.
Meetings begin September 3rd.

Two years ago we made our first "field trip" to Washington, D.C., and last year we went to Virginia -- to Jamestown, Yorktown, and the homes of Presidents Jefferson and Monroe. This year we hope to return to Washington D.C.
We want to offer our congratulations to the students that competed with us this year! We took 3 teams. Our veteran team took 1st place in the state, and our other 2 teams
(both comprised mostly of newer, younger students) both placed in the top 10!!! They all worked very hard preparing during the last 2 months, and I am proud of all of them!!!
And then we took a group of 8 veterans to Nationals in Charlotte, NC, where we were excited to place 8th out of 18 teams!
Many of the Club Members also participate in the YMCA's Youth Legislature Program in the spring.
