Summer Club Inventions
at Creative Learning Connection
Club Invention is an exciting enrichment program where
children in second through sixth grades learn through fun,
hands-on experiences and discovery. Children are immersed
in activity-oriented adventures that enhance their
understanding of science, math, history, and the arts – all
while having lots of FUN!

Club Invention is an afterschool/summer program of the
National Inventors Hall of Fame: Developed by educators
and let by local teachers, the innovative curriculum is
carefully tested to ensure a positive enrichment experience
in a safe environment.

Phys. Ed: Physics in Motion™
Monday – Thursday, June 14 – 17, 1 – 3 p.m.
You are introduced to scientists who helped answer
questions about how and why objects move the way they do
through a series of fast-paced, innovative games. After
exploring the laws of gravity, energy, motion, and
magnetism, you will use that knowledge to design original
games to challenge fellow students.

VisualEyez™
Monday – Thursday, June 21 - 24, 1 – 3 p.m.
As members of the incoming class at Perception University,
you will use art and science to explore and explain the
wonders of sight and optical illusions. After a brief
introduction to eye anatomy and discussion of how the eye
works, a variety of hands-on activities introduce concepts
such as persistence of vision, depth perception, and 3D.
Upon "graduation" from Perception University, each graduate
receives a U.D. (Unreal Degree) in Eye Science, with a
minor in optical illusion.

Solve It! The Mystery of the Missing Machine™
Monday – Thursday, July 12 – July 15, 1 – 3 p.m.
Congratulations! You have become a member of the first
graduating class of Detective School. You may now
participate in a detective simulation that revolves around
a missing family of mice and their top-secret
food-processing machine. Creative problem solving and
intuitive thinking skills will help you solve the mystery.

Flight Sight™
Monday – Thursday, July 26 – July 29, 1 – 3 p.m.
Flying takes on different perspectives as you explore
flight from different altitudes. Experience flight from the
view of a bird's eye, a glider, a jet, and a spaceship
window. As the days progress, see how the inventions of
flight changed our viewpoints of the world.

Intent to Invent™
Monday – Thursday, August 9 – August 12, 3 – 5 p.m.
You are transported into Olnem Park, a research and
development complex that includes a restaurant, a RoboLab,
and two other laboratories. Here you encounter and solve
challenges as you enter different areas of the park. In the
laboratory, you take apart broken machinery and use these
parts to create a fantasy invention that solves a problem.
Medieval Marvels™
Monday – Thursday, August 16 – August 19, 3 – 5 p.m.
Medieval Marvels weaves medieval history, basic scientific
principles, and hands-on creativity through the challenges
of each day. Assuming the roles of lords, knights,
craftspeople, and serfs you will work in cooperative groups
to complete each task. Each activity is linked to either
the Middle Age lifestyle or a scientific principle that was
known to medieval cultures. You will create your own
invention with the knowledge gained from the scientific
experiments.
