There are several opportunities for the adults and the students in your family to partake in real Government education in the next few weeks:
Come out and meet Les Phillip! Les is running for Congress District 5 in 2010. http://www.lesphillip.com/ This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with Les. Let him know your concerns and find out what he will do if he becomes our next congressman.

Thursday, August 27th from 7 – 9 p.m. for a discussion/teaching on "How Do We Keep Up with Politics Today?"

Have you looked at the Health Care bill yet? We have a copy of the House version and the Senate version on the counter at the store now for customers to look at. You can also find it online at: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-3200 and at http://www.thomas.gov/
