July/August News at Creative Learning Connection
“The devil is in the details” as they say! I’ve spent a week trying to slow down long enough to get all the details I wanted in this newsletter, and finally have to say, enough is enough. Here’s the bare bones schedule for some important things coming up here and in the community. If you want more details, or have any questions, just let me know.

Used Book Sales (You must sign up if you want a table!)
The dates we currently have on the calendar for sales this summer are:
Friday, July 10th 2 - 4 p.m. (sellers arrive between 1 and 1:30 p.m. (Yes, that is today, sorry for last minute info!)
Tuesday, July 28th 7 - 9 p.m. (sellers arrive between 6 and 6:30 p.m.)
August – TBA

Political Note: If you are in District 6, go vote on July 14th!
We are voting for our State House position in a Special Election.

Mon, July 27th 7 – 9 p.m. – How Do We Keep Up with Politics Today
This is geared toward the adults in the family, but older, interested students may also get something out of it. Come find out some great new ways to find out what’s going on in our Government – Come with questions and ideas. (Please RSVP so we have enough chairs.)

Thursday, July 30th 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Student Workshop: The Civil War in the West. Workshop includes lecture, movie, and lapbook for younger students (older students would still enjoy!) Cost $12 – includes lunch (1 slice pizza & drink; additional slices $1 each)

August 7 & 8 Homeschooling Seminars
We will be open from 8:30 to 5:30 both days, with at least 4 workshops each day – to encourage you in your homeschooling journey! (more details on the website before then)

Wed, Aug 19th 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Government Club Open House

Our regular hours are Monday – Thursday, 12 – 5 p.m.
We also try to be open 1 Friday and Saturday each month (also 12 – 5):
In July, we’re open Friday, the 10th and Saturday, the 11th.
In August, we plan to be open EVERY Friday & Saturday.
And in September, we will NOT be open a Friday or Saturday.
