Special March Happenings at Creative Learning Connection
Be sure to read the newsletter to the end – we have exciting specials for the month of March listed further down.
*****
We are still in a holding pattern as far as CPSIA. We have begun taking books on consignment again. Please be sure to read the new consignment policies if you are bringing things in. And if you have anything for younger children besides books, you may want to make sure it’s something we can still take before you bring it in.
We are hoping that Senator DeMint’s bill to amend CPSIA will go through – but so far there doesn’t seem to be much progress with it. (More about his bill, and CPSIA on our website.)

Used Book Sales Begin Again at CLC Good news: We will host our first Used Book Sale of the season on Thursday evening, March 26th.
Please let us know if you are planning to attend as a Seller, so we make sure there are enough tables. Sellers may arrive to set up between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m., and the Sale officially begins at 7:00 p.m. (These usually go till about 8:30 or 9:00 p.m.)
Leaving unsold items after the sale on consignment is an option, but there is no obligation. (If you are considering leaving books -- please be sure to check out the new Consignment Policy on our website at www.CreativeLearningConnection.com) There is no cost to participate, and we provide the space, the tables, and the chairs. To sign up, contact Cathy at cmmjaime@alum.mit.edu

As a mother of 12, I take this next idea very personally: 50 Million Red Envelopes – We encourage you to participate in Red Envelop Day. (There are even ideas on there about making your own red envelopes – a good project for the kids!)
What: Get red envelopes or postcards and mail them on March 31st to the White House
When: Please mail them as close to March 31st, 2009 as possible.
Get a red envelope. You can buy them at party supply stores (we hope to have some at CLC soon). On the front, address it to
President Barack Obama The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington , D.C. 20500
On the back, write the following message.
This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world. Read more about the “Freedom of Choice Act”at: http://www.lifenews.com/nat4359.html (One of President Obama’s campaign promises was to push for this!)
There is more information on our website about this, and on the website mentioned above…Please join us in making a statement about the tragedy of abortion. ***** Happy 6th Birthday, CLC!
