For anyone who is relatively new to our newsletter list, we don’t usually send out newsletters near this often. In fact, our average is probably under two/month. January and February have been unusually high volume months – primarily due to all that has been going on with the CPSIA law
We are taking consignments again. Of course, what we can take has been seriously limited by the new law, but we are moving forward as best we can. (More on CPSIA and Consignments on our website: www.CreativeLearningConnection.com)
In addition to our regular hours this week (Monday through Thursday, 12 to 5), we will also be open later today (until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16) and we will be open for a few hours on Friday because of the YWAM event that afternoon.
We are also excited to be offering several categories of items at 25% off this week. More details on which items at the end of the email.

This week we are offering two special events. Both of these events are appropriate for all ages. For planning purposes, please RSVP an approximate number for either to cmmjaime@alum.mit.edu. (If you don’t sign up, and figure out at the last minute that you can join us, that’s fine too!)
A Night to Celebrate Creation!

February 12, 2009 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin. You can expect much publicity as his many proponents propel Darwin and his theory of evolution into the limelight. This workshop will expose some of the fallacies in this ideology, which dominates our culture in education, politics, science, religion and more.

YWAM – Missions Presentations
We are also excited to announce that four young people from the Youth With a Mission base in Louisville will be here to share with us:
Friday, February 20th from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m.
They will share with us a missions focused drama presentation, personal testimonies about their experiences in missions, and a missions challenge.

February 12 was the 200th Birthday of Abraham Lincoln. In honor of that, we will be giving a 25% discount this week on ALL our Presidents’ materials (Books, Lapbooks, Rulers, Pencils, etc.).
February 12 was also the 200th Birthday of Charles Darwin. In recognition of that fact, we will be giving a 25% discount on all of our Creation Science materials this week.
Additionally, we will be allowing each family who visits us this week to borrow one Creation Science or Missionary video, DVD, or book for no charge. (Our usual lending library fee is $3 per item.)
And, in recognition of the work done by YWAM and other missionary groups around the world, we will also be offering a 25% discount this week on books, etc. that deal with the work of missionaries.
