Creative Learning Connection News – August/September 2008
Government Club Open House: Wednesday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at CLC. Are you interested in what we do at Government Club Meetings? What Mock Trial is? Or what Youth Legislature is? Join us next week to get your questions answered!

Family Game Time: Friday, September 5th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Bring the whole family out for a time of fun and games at CLC! We will start with pizzas at 6:00, followed by games.

Classes: Reminder, two of our classes (Critter Club and Heather’s Science) have already begun, but most of the rest will begin the first or second week of September. Be sure to contact the teacher(s) for any classes you are interested in.

Exciting News! Creative Learning Connection may be expanding! The space next to us has come available, and we are considering leasing it! If we do, we will be able to greatly increase our offerings to the home schooling community.
The front of the space is currently divided into 4 “small” and “not so small” rooms that we would like to rent to homeschoolers. They would be ideal for a small retail space, or a tutoring place, etc. Have you been looking for an outlet to sell your family crafts? Or to conduct classes on a more regular basis? We may have just the space for you. (The 4 rooms would range in price from $100 - $300/month, and in size from 6’ by 8’ to 14’ by 22’.)
The 4 spaces are each off a foyer/entrance area where we would like to provide a small, comfortable sitting area, and an entire wall of advertising space: A great place to let the homeschool community know of the services you offer – lessons/tutoring/classes/etc. And the advertising would only be $10/month.
And that’s just the front of the space! The back includes a VERY large area – that would be perfect for larger homeschool events (Science Fairs, Geography Fairs, etc.) It is more than 40 feet by 36 feet! We would like to offer memberships to homeschool groups or individuals who would like to use the room on a monthly basis. And it would also be available for a modest hourly rate for those who just need to use such a wonderful, large space occasionally.
This is still in the planning and praying stage. If it does happen – it may happen fairly soon, or it may happen in a few months.
If you might be interested in any of the above: advertising, the small rooms, or the large room, please drop me a line, so we can measure interest. (Or if you have any questions, just let me know.) Again, this is still a work in progress, but we want to see what it would take to make this happen.
