New Consignment Percentages at CLC – Effective Wednesday,
January 16, 2008
We are so excited about the growing number of books and
other materials being consigned at Creative Learning
Connection. The selection and quality grows weekly. With
1000’s of consigned items to manage, we have revised our
consignment methods and percentages, effective next
Wednesday, January 16th. They will not affect materials
that are already in the store, but only those consigned on
the 16th and beyond.
You will still have a choice of getting a check or in-store
credit, but we will now have a 4-tier percentage system,
instead of the 2-tier one we have employed for so many
years. We hope to encourage more folks to go with the
“non-listing” option that we phased in this past few
months.
Percentages will now range from 40% to 70%, depending on
which options you choose.
Those who choose in-store credit, and the “non-listing”
option will receive the maximum amount – 70% of what their
books sell for.
Those who choose in-store credit, but prefer to list their
books on the consignment sheet and give them individual
item numbers, will receive 60% of the selling price.
For those who prefer checks, you may still get a check for
50% of the price, if you go with the non-listing option.
For those who want checks, and prefer to have their items
listed out, the percentage paid will be 40% of what the
books sell for.
