March/April News at Creative Learning Connection
We will be open this Friday and Saturday, March 2nd and 3rd
from 12 – 5 p.m. We also have many exciting opportunities
coming up:
Student Workshops
The following workshops will be presented by Cathy Jaime
St. Patrick’s Day Workshop:
Tuesday, March 13th 1:00 – 2:30 P.M.
Aimed at ages 7 and up, cost is $10/student.
This workshop will look at the history and traditions of
St. Patrick’s Day.
Leonardo da Vinci Workshop
Tuesday, March 20th 1:00 – 2:30 P.M.
Aimed at ages 7 and up, cost is $10/student.
In this workshop students will learn about Leonardo da
Vinci and his work as an artist, engineer, and so much
more.
Lewis & Clark Workshop
Thursday, April 5th 1:00 – 2:30 P.M.
Aimed at ages 7 and up, cost is $10/student.
In this workshop students will learn about Lewis & Clark
and the incredible expedition they led.

Club Invention
A 4 week hands-on, intense science experience for students
ages 7 – 11 (most incredible Science curriculum I’ve used!)
The cost for the 8 hour club is $69. (Please note, because
the registration money for this goes straight to Club
Invention, this is the only “class” that Cathy does that is
not eligible for the 50% discount for Supporting Members.)
Sign up sheets should be available at the store for these
soon.
One club will run Tuesday afternoons in April from 1:00
P.M. to 3:00 P.M., the second one will run Tuesdays in May.
Students may participate in either or both.
More information will be available on the website as soon
as it is available.
Used Book Sales
at
Creative Learning Connection
8006 Old Madison Pike, Madison
(Miller Plaza, ½ 1/2 way between Slaughter and Hughes)
Now is a great time to start selling the things we're done
with,
and picking up "new" things for next year.
Creative Learning Connection has a great selection of used
books on the shelves now -- including a complete Weaver
Curriculum, KONOS, many Sonlight volumes and sets, Saxon,
hundreds of A Beka and BJU, and much more. And, of course,
you can bring in used books to consign at any time during
the year.
But, sometimes it's nice to be able to sell your own things
directly -- and that's where our Used Book Sales come in!
If you have books and other great home school related
materials to sell, we provide the space (and sometimes a
table). You bring your books and your cash (to make
change).
There is no charge to buy or sell. And no obligation.
(Though leaving your leftovers on consignment
afterwards is always an option!)
The dates we currently have on the calendar for sales this
spring at CLC are:
Thursday, March 15th
Monday, April 30th
(Dates will be set later for May, June, July & August)
Those sales will begin at 7:00 p.m. and go to approximately
9:00 p.m.
Sellers may arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 to set up their
books.

to sign up for a space at either of these upcoming sales.
And please help spread the word to others who might be
interested. The more who participate, the more we all
benefit.
Movie Nights
Calling all kids ages 7-12! Join us for a night of movies,
munchies and making new friends.
Friday, March 23rd We will be watching the movie "National
Treasure";
And Friday, April 20th we will be watching “Following Me
Boys”
WHERE: Creative Learning Connection
Please bring a favorite drink and $3 each, or $10 per
family for pizza and snacks.
Mom and Dad are welcome to stay. Older and younger siblings
are also welcome. Please email cmmjaime@alum.mit.edu or
call 325-3305 to RSVP for either or both.
