November Happenings at Creative Learning Connection
*Please remember to vote today! Voting is our right, and
our responsibility! I read a 100-year old quote by Mark
Twain this week that seemed particularly timely: "It will
be conceded that a Christian's first duty is to God. It
then follows, as a matter of course, that it is his duty to
carry his Christian code of morals to the polls and vote
them. Whenever he shall do that, he will not find himself
voting for an unclean man, a dishonest man. If Christians
would vote their duty to God at the polls, they would carry
every election, and do it with ease. Their prodigious power
would be quickly realized and recognized, and afterward
there would be no unclean candidates upon any ticket, and
graft would cease. If the Christians of America could be
persuaded to vote God and a clean ticket, it would bring
about a moral revolution that would be incalculably
beneficent. It would save the country." (Colliers

*If you’ve heard us talking about “Mock Trial” and have
wondered what that is all about – we have an offer for you.
This Wednesday, November 8, we will be having a Mock Trial
Scrimmage between our two teams. 10 a.m. to 12 noon at
Madison Bible Church on Hughes (just South of University).
This would be a great opportunity to see what Mock Trial is
all about. (Especially recommended for Junior High and
High School students)
*We will be closed the week of Thanksgiving (November 20 –
24). We will resume our regular hours (Monday – Thursday,
12 – 5, on Monday, November 27th.)
*We should be moving upstairs to a bigger location sometime
over the CHRISTmas break! We will have more details later
on what that will do to those holiday hours, and when we
will need some help (painting, packing, moving,…)
