Fall Classes at Creative Learning Connection
June 11, 2006
The following is just the 2006-2007 classes we have scheduled so far at Creative Learning Connection! We will keep adding to the list as more classes are confirmed. We currently have 1 big classroom and 1 small classroom. We hope to double that by next fall and then we would be able to offer even more exciting choices. (You may keep us in your prayers with regards to the timing of the move upstairs!) If you or someone you know is interested in teaching a class, just let me know. High School Math Louis Sewell taught Chemistry and Geometry for high schoolers last year, and would like to offer two subjects from the following list for this year: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Physics. As soon as we have at least 5 students committed for any two of those, he will work out the schedule, so if you have a need in that area, please let me know right away. These classes would most likely each meet once a week for two hours, starting early in September. Cost will be $35/month/subject/student. (Physics would also have a one time $30 lab fee.) Introduction to Sign Language Taught by: Deirdre Fuller Age Level: 8-14 year-olds New Day/Time: Tuesdays, 1:00 – 2:30 Cost: $20/month (payable on the first class of each month) This is a very basic class that will focus on signs more than language and grammar. It is open to students. Older students are welcome, but should understand that the class is geared toward younger students. Siblings that are not yet 8 are welcome with an adult. Parents are welcome to sit in on the class. We will not be using any one book. I will be using several different books, and other learning tools. However, if you would like to have a book for review, I would recommend Signing for Kids, by Mickey Flodin. It can be ordered from Barnes & Noble. There will be 16 classes and a party at the end of the semester. The first class will be August 15^th . We will go through the first of December, but no fee will be collected for December. Please contact Deirdre if you are interested in enrolling your child in this class. Deirdre Fuller 256-653-6084 DeirdreFuller@mchsi.com The following begin in September.
