Time Line Journal

This is a "timeline with a twist". Instead of hanging on the wall to be looked at, this timeline sits in a book, to be worked with. Instead of being done by an excited teacher, this timeline is done by an excited student (unless the excited teacher wants to do one, also). Instead of presenting all the details at once (something that interests adults who study history), this timeline grows in detail, added little by little, as the student becomes acquainted with it.

This timeline journal is meant to be incorporated into all aspects of school and life that deal with historical information. Introduce it to your students as you begin to study history as a school subject, but then have them also include the various other historical dates they encounter in other subjects and throughout life. Let them begin to see the relevance of history!

One of the first things you will note as your student starts to use this book is the varying amount of space dedicated to each decade throughout. Modern times have more space than the middle ages, the middle ages have more space than ancient times. This is not to claim that the "modern" times are more important, but merely to acknowledge that we have more information on the more recent times, and generally study those periods in more detail.

We hope you and your student(s) come to see history in a new light.

Also available for purchase as a pdf file from www.CurrClick.com

This is our new, prefered format of the Timeline Journal.  All the pages are the same as in the original journals, but we have left the binding options (and work!) to you.  You can hole punch or bind it yourself.  (We find that younger students usually prefer the bound format, and older students and parents usually prefer working in the notebooks, but not always.)  So you get the same great product, at a much more economical price.

As with our other materials, the pages may be reproduced for use by multiple students within a single class or family.  (And copying for those purposes is much easier from this unbound product.)

Artwork from Dover's History Coloring Books makes great additions to this or any other timeline project.
